Tom is a technology entrepreneur with a 25-year string of innovation. He has a love for the unknown and a curiosity for what is just beyond the technology horizon. Prior to ScaleWize he was SVP of Data Solutions at Verizon-Terremark, introducing the industry’s first Disaster Recovery as a Service, which achieved recognition for industry leadership by both Gartner and Forrester. He was responsible for a +2x annual revenue growth in Backup as a Service, and launched Verizon’s Cloud Storage service. Prior to Verizon-Terremark, he was CEO of Accris, where he and Mitch Kitay grew the company to become the largest storage-focused integrator in Florida before being acquired by Terremark in 2008. Before Accris, Tom was the Chief Systems Architect for Florida’s SunPass, a revolutionary automated toll collection system that improves the lives of millions of Floridians every day. Tom spent several years in the special operations community, is an alumnus of the US Army Airborne School, and has summited some of the world’s highest peaks. He completed his undergraduate studies in Aerospace Engineering.
Mitch has over 17 years of experience within the IT infrastructure and Cloud Computing/Managed Services sector. He has primarily focused on sales and business development, with broad involvement in product development, marketing, channels and alliances, and operations. Prior to Scalewize, Mitch was Director, Product Management at Virtustream, a leading enterprise-class cloud service and software provider. As VP of Data Solutions at Verizon-Terremark, he focused on customer acquisition and delivery of managed services for Disaster Recovery, Data Storage, Backup, and electronic discovery. Prior to joining Terremark, Mitch was a principal and head of Sales and Marketing at Accris Corporation, a systems integrator acquired by Terremark in 2008. Mitch holds a BS in Finance and an MBA, both from the University of Florida.
